Monologue Description:  “Old Emails” expresses what it is to feel loss of a dear friend.

Character Description:  Meridith talks to her psychiatrist about a friend of hers that passed away only a few months ago.

MERIDITH:

I can’t seem to delete my old emails from my friend Jackson.  I just can’t…it hurts too much.  I think it’s me holding on to him still.  I feel that if I delete the emails, I’m deleting what still exists of him.  I know they were written months ago, before he died but, I just, I just feel that he still around in some way.  I know that may sound weird but it somehow gives me comfort.
