“My Bullet Proof Vest” (drama) 1 minute

Monologue Description: “My Bullet Proof Vest” is about a young man who has been touched by an Angel.

Character Description:  Vito has been undergoing tough times in his life but ever since his Uncle’s passing, Vito has been experiencing miracles.  Vito talks to his best friend about it.

VITO:    

They say that Angels protect us throughout our lifetime.  When I was younger, I was skeptical.  As I grew older, I began to realize things.  I began to open my mind more about life, about the after life.  I started questioning everything about my existence. 

My Uncle past away a few years ago and it was said to me from a psychic that he protects me.  The physic actually told me there are many Angels around me but that he is the Angel that walks with me.  At first I was taken back by this emotionally and it wasn’t until later that I gave it some thought and started connecting the dots.

I made many discoveries about the truth of this psychics statement.  Whenever I was down or whenever I was experiencing an extremely difficult time in my life, I always felt protected.  It became clear to me that since my Uncle’s passing, it has been him lifting my spirit up during rough times.

I’ve felt the power of God.  Nobody can tell me different.  I’ve felt God all around me, aiding me in tough times.  My Uncle comes to me in my dreams and I communicate with him.  I’ve had close encounters with life and death and I have witnessed his miracle.  It’s as if bullets come straight for me and he guides them away from me.  He’s like my own invisible bullet proof vest.

I know this all may sound a bit strange or weird to those that do not believe in this sort of thing.  But that’s okay.  We are all entitled to our opinions.  I just know in my own heart, mind and soul that Angels exist, because I’ve seen, heard and felt it…
