Monologue Description: “Evolution of Man” is about sexual relationships.

Character Description: Cheryl talks to her boyfriend about being too rough when they make love as well as having intimacy WAY too often.

CHERYL:

You are WAY too horny. Pipe down, damnit! Every five minutes you want to have sex. Is that all you think about? Is it? When will you let up a bit and give me a break?? Too much, no good. I’m starting to walk funny for goodness sakes.

You make me feel like that’s all you want with us. Sex, sex, sex, sex, sex, sex, sex!!! I’m washing the dishes..SEX! I’m cleaning the windows…SEX! I’m brushing my freaking teeth…SEX! I’m afraid of you! You’re beginning to scare me. You’ve become an animal. You are like that show we watched on the discovery channel with Alec Baldwin. The one when he talks about the evolution of man. Things aren’t like they used to be a million years ago Burt. Times have changed, okay? You can’t just grab a woman by the hair and drag her into your cave for a night.

What? I understand you have needs, we ALL have needs but your needs are over the top. Learn to ease up a bit. And it’s not like you’re the most gentle guy either. You’re rough with me. I know some women like that rough shit but not me. I like soft, gentle, slow, passionate, sensual. Not grunts and growls all the time.
