Monologue Description: “Military Man” is about the life twists of marriage.

Character Description:Rodney complains to his wife about her opinion of his brothers marriage situation.

RODNEY:

Who asked you? You keep butting in to a conversation you have no business butting into. When I ask for your opinion is when I want your opinion. This is personal stuff between me and my brother. It’s got nothing to do with you or anybody.

You say you think Rosalie was right to leave my brother. What the fuck are you talking about? Rosalie is dead wrong. You take her side over my flesh and bloods? The woman is a tramp. She sleeps around with men from all over the city, while my brother is out there fighting in Iraq. She knew. She knew what she was getting herself into when she met my brother. She knew he was a military man. He comes back and two days later she tells him she’s leaving him? That’s baloney. I never heard of such a thing. And you sit over there claiming that she did the right thing. Why? How is that the right thing Angela? How?? Can you imagine my brother coming home to his wife and she tells him she wants a divorce?? And you think that’s right?Your just as fucked up as she is if that’s what you think, let me tell you. My brother did no wrong. All he ever did was defend this country of ours and that’s the thanks he gets.
