Monologue Description: “Bougar Chase” is about how some people need to grow up.
Character Description: In this monologue, Rosemarie reflects on how nasty her sister could be.
ROSEMARIE:
Since we were kids, that’s what she does. Chases me around the house with bougars on her fingers. I know, I know, what can I say? She’s my sister, she’ll never change. Till this day I catch her picking her nose without a tissue. I always catch her in the act. I catch her rolling it nice between her fingers into a little itty bitty ball and than flick it across the room. I told her how disgusting that is and she just laughs. Is that right? No one would believe it. My sister is so beautiful but she just does the nastiest things.
So one day she made the attempt on me again, chasing me around the house and I wised up to it. I grabbed her arms and I used my strength to make her wipe the snot across her face. I got her good too. Right on her cheek, forehead and eye. She had to run to the bathroom with her eyeball glued shut with snot.
That taught her a lesson. She stopped chasing me.
