Monologue Description: “Let You Go” is about losing your job.

Character Description: In this monologue, D’ Angela fires one of her employees.  She fires a man whom she never liked and whom she has had bitter arguments with over work.

D’ANGELA:

George, we have to let you go.  That’s why you were called in here.

(beat)

Now look, I know this is tough on you but this is extremely difficult for me to do. 

(beat)

I know I’ll move on in my job and I will begin making high six figures running this company and you will continue being the big fat slob that you naturally are.

You’re fired!  Now get out and take your fat ass with you.
