Monologue Description: “Girls, Girls, Girls” is about being aware of yourself.
Character Description: In this monologue, Johnny is just chilling out with his friend, playing some video games when suddenly he starts singing outload without realizing it. The set up is simply a couple of young guys just hanging out over chips and beer, listening to tunes and playing vids. Chill atmosphere.
JOHNNY:
“I loved you with the fire RED and now it’s turning BLUE—”
What? Nothing man. What? I’m not doing nothing.
(beat)
I’m singing man. So what? I can’t sing? It’s just a love song. What? What’s wrong with a love song? I sound like a fag??
(LONG PAUSE)
Oh shit…YOU’E RIGHT! I do!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Well let me ask you something now. Is it gay for guys to sing love songs? I mean, this one here, this one I’m singing is new. It’s from this group called ONE REPUBLIC and it’s backed by TIMBALAND.
(beat)
I guess you’re right. I have been singing that shit non-stop for about a week straight. I’m weird like that, whenever a song gets in my head I can’t get it out, even if it sucks.
HAHAHAHAHAHA
I gotta chill out with that one. HAHAHAHA
Thanks bro. If I sing that song again, just smack me. Seriously. You have my permission bro. Haha.
Put on some Motely Crue or some shit…hell yeah bitch! I gotta hear something right.
