“Would You Love Me If…” (serio-comedy) 1 Minute

Monologue Description: “Would You Love Me If…” is about a couple flirting with one another.

Character Description:  In this monologue,  Jesse teases his girlfriend in a playful manner.

JESSE: 

Okay, okay, okay.

Let’s say I was caught in a fire and received third degree burns over ninety five percent of my body.  Would you still love me?  Really?  You would stay with me?  Really?  No matter how crispy I was? 

Wow.  What if I was in a car accident and had to have my legs and arms taken off?  Would you still love me?  Really? 

Wow.  What if I was beat up by a group of men and they completely destroyed my face and I looked extremely disfigured?  Would you still love me?

What if I was in a coma for two years?  Would you stay by my side?  Huh?  You see?  That one is a hard one cause you will get lonely.  I don’t think I would blame you if you slept with someone else.  I’d be upset about it but I wouldn’t blame you, unless we were married, than I’d kill you.  Hahaha.  I’m only kidding sweetheart.

But seriously though, you love me that much, that you would stick by my side no matter what?  What if I went to prison for ten years?  See?  That’s a hard one too. 

Well, you don’t have to worry about me going to jail or anything.  God willing.

(he smiles)

It’s nice to know you love me so much.  If any of those things happened to you,  PEACE!  I’d leave your ass REAAAAAAAL quick!  Hahahaha.  I’m only kidding, I’m only kidding.

If anything ever happened to you, I would always remain loyal to you.  No matter what honey.  I love you just as much.

(he kisses her)
