Monologue Description: “We Don’t Know” is a drama about a man’s point of view regarding life’s existence.
Character Description: In this monologue, Bryan rambles on about what he feels is the simple truth of mankind.

BRYAN:

Truth is, we don’t know. We don’t know why we don’t know. Think about it. Someone somewhere wound us up like a toy. Each one of us with a different life span. Each one of us spinning in circles wondering what the hell is going on. We don’t know why we don’t know and that my friend is the truth. You have all kinds of religious beliefs and philosophies and science but the simple truth is we don’t know why we exist. If we can focus on that maybe we can come up with some answers. Maybe there is no apparent reason why. Maybe it just is because it is.
