“Destiny Supreme” (drama) 1 Minute

Monologue Description: “Destiny Supreme” is a drama about a Jamaican man with big dreams.

Character Description:  In this monologue, D.J. Claude is a man who has a dream of being a famous D.J.  He dreams of owning his own recording label and producing musical artists in the music industry.  Currently, he is a cook for a Jamaican restaurant and he speaks to a friend who happens to be a regular at the place.  He speaks with an obvious Jamaican/American accent.

D.J. CLAUDE

Yea mon, yea.  We all got dreams son.  Right now I been working dis thing here.  Doin’ what I gotta do to put food on the table, pay my bills like a man supposed to.  Doing my thing mon.  I’m starting out small, starting real small.  One day ata time.  Right now I’m cooking beef patties but one day I’m gonna be spinning the likes of the phattest songs out there mon.  Make the people bounce.  Haha, hell yea, hell yea!

It’s always been my dream to do music.  I always been a fan of music.  I love music mon, love it.  It’s what make my heart breathe son.  See?  I got these cards made up.  My name is D.J. Claude and my company name is Destiny Supreme.  Thas what it’s all about.  Cards look good no?  Made them myself, gotta start small right now and grow.
