“MONOLOGUE RESOURCES” - Manhattan Monologue Slam

  The Manhattan Monologue Slam is a great opportunity for actors to gain exposure not only in front of a live audience but also in front of industry professionals.  Some notable attendees of the show have been Brian DePalma, Andy Dick, Sarah Silverman, Debra Wilson, James Gunn and NyCastings. 

The MMSLAM is run by two passionate co-creators/brothers, Robert Galinsky and Philip Galinsky. 

I have attended the show and I enjoyed it.  The basic concept is to allow actors to perform their monologue in front of a live audience/industry professionals and based on audience applause, become the winner of the MMSLAM trophy/prizes as well as the possibilty of gaining work as an actor.  The winning actor gets to come back the following month to defend their trophy title as MMSLAM Champion.
