No, you’re a liar, that’s not your pen, that’s my pen. Look, look on the bottom, it has my initials. My Grandma gave me that pen. Give it back or I’m telling Mrs. Reynolds and you will be in trouble.

Monologue Description: “THE DISAPPEARANCE” is about leaving something you love.
Character Description: In this monologue, Jake explains to his son, that he is going to have to go away and doesn’t know if he is ever going to return. He says this monologue on a phone message.
JAKE:
Well, son…some men in life go on journeys that take them to places that their souls knew not of…some men stay in one place their whole lives and die as they came…some men have insurmountable obstacles to face to the point of madness and their really isn’t a Goddamn thing you can do about it…
What I’m saying son, what I’m trying to get clear on is that I need to step away from the thing I love most in order to face other obstacles that exist in my life…demons that have been chasing me and now must be brought down. You won’t understand now but perhaps later you will. Some things are better left unspoken but I wanted you to know that I love you with all my heart.
Maybe I will be back, maybe I will never return…I don’t know…all I can do is try…

Monologue Description: “I LOVE FARTING” is a comedy of about a man who likes to wreak havoc.
Character Description: In this monologue, Walter tells his close friend how he secretly enjoys the process of letting out gas.
WALT:
I love farting. I do. You know, some people like to go fishing, others like to go sky diving, but not me, I find great joy and pleasure in releasing my passageway. I really do.
Whenever I feel it bubbling up inside me, I try to make it count. I wait as long as I can to get a strong build up, it’s a technique I’ve developed over the years and when I know it’s reached the point of no return, KABLAMMO baby, I release her out into the world. Giving birth to an invisible child. Sometimes my child only bothers people for a few seconds after, sometimes a few minutes, depending on the level of intoxication I’ve bestowed. But mostly my farts are clean.
Yeah, I take pride in what I do. I mean, not everybody can do what I do. I kind of developed a passion for it. I look forward to those moments. That’s why you see me eat Taco Bell often. That usually gets my juices flowing. Also, White Castles ALWAYS does the trick. A good ole sack a ten and by morning, my house smells like a sanitation dump. But I don’t mind it. I relish those moments cause it makes me feel alive. It’s what I do best. I love it, I really do…I love farting.
