Monologue Description: “I’ll Fly For You” is a drama about growing from painful life experiences and finding a deeper, joyous, positive meaning.
Character Description: In this monologue, NIR VANNA (Vana for short) talks to a recorder which she keeps as a journal for her thoughts and feelings.
NIR VANNA:
We’ll be back. We’ve gone away for awhile but we’ll be back…someday soon. I am a bird who keeps building its nest. I can wait as long as it takes because moment by moment I gain strength and wisdom…I understand life the way I must. It’s taken so much but without it, I couldn’t exist correctly. I understand his plan. I understand my plan…and I am thankful.
Our lips will touch again, our touch will unlock our feelings and our feelings will become one….our eyes will blur into one another, greater than before. We will both be in awe…I promise you this…We will both be the phoenix that flys back up to one another and I believe in my heart that we will catch eachother. How can it be any other way?
