this monologue was hilarious to me because i had an experience like that. but in different circumstances. the most embarassing thing in my life. but no one saw anything. the only way they know is because i told them. since i know none of you i’ll tell…
so i was suffering from constipation so i took some laxatives. i took one too many.i was in p.e the next day and all of a sudden i had to go #2. so as i’m walking to the bathroom, i can feel it trying to come out and i had no control over it since it was the runs. so either i walk slowly and shit all over myself, or run fast and try to make it to the bathroom. so i ran and still shitted on myself! i couldnt believe it. anyway i recently shared that w/ my bf and we just laugh about it. so when i read him this monologue,we were just dying laughing! funny stuff. i love the things you write joseph because as you see from my example, they’re just so real. i just recently discovered this website and its great!

Hilarious, a little gross, but hilarious I love reading these I read one a day to give me a little laughter in my day and yours made me crack up. I can’t beleive that you went out and practically glued a wholee new nose on your face for a man you just met. My husband couldn’t beleive it either until he recalled our first date almost the same thing happened to me exceptit was on my forehead and I did my hair really hidiously to hide the blemish. Sure my hair was hidious but he didn’t see my blemish and asked me out on another outing for the next weekend. by then my blemish had cleared up and he asked me why I hid a measly blemish from him.( he knew the whole time) we laughed for hours and still laugh to this day thank-you for brightening my day Jessica.

Though provoking. One unspoken problem we have in helping one another is mis-judging the other or misdiagnosis of what we think we see. Kids make a prolonged study of fooling mom and dad. And as for mom and dad misreading their offspring is well,
common. Saying “I thought he was just…..” doesn’t quite get it
anymore does it? This mono goes to the heart of the matter. There just aren’t enough eyes on the “pride.” Parent Teacher Association meetings should be held on Saturday mornings with coffee and dognuts, last for five to eight hours minimum and actions, activites, student options and progress made or not made by the student discussed in detail.

I agree with you Mr. Baker. I personally believe that such issues can be helped. We need to raise more awareness. Obviously the tragic events that have taken place in our schools should be the biggest eye opening realization that we aren’t doing enough. New developments must and will be made.

I had to find a free monologue fast, and I mean fast. because of all the hecktic halloween stuff going on, I never had a chance to memorize the monologue the teacher gave me. then what happens? I lose it 3 days before I have to proform it. lucky me. so I’m like “I know it has to be 5 minutes but I can stretch a 1 minute monologue easy. less lines, less to memorize” so I’m looking all over and read this monologue and think “If I got to act one out, might as well be the same situation I’m in”. so, yeah, triple glee for me! now I’m of to memorize, god help me not fail ;;

I can relate to this. I was born in the USA, but because I am Chicano and my parents are Mexican, I can relate to Pedro.
