“LAUGHTER” (serio-comedy) Under 1 Minute

Monologue Description: “LAUGHTER” is a serio-comedy about how a woman loves laughing with her man.

Character Description: In this monologue, Bonnie shares with her mother how she enjoys laughing with her boyfriend over the dumbest things.

BONNIE:

He makes me feel alive. I’m happy when I’m with him. I have no worries, no doubts, no stress. When we go out we always have fun. He makes me laugh, I NEVER laugh as hard as I laugh with him. The things he does, the things he says. He is a goof ball and I love it. Sometimes it’s his innocence that makes me crack up laughing. He never ceases to amaze me.

One time he wanted to make Hot Chocolate for us and he didn’t know how to measure the amount of milk to heat up in the pot. I sat quietly, watching him. I was laughing by myself on the couch just watching him try to figure out how to do something so simple. And the whole time he is trying to understand how to make it work. hahaha. Finally, he looks over to me and says, “Baby, how do I make chocolate milk?” hahaha.

I don’t know, it’s moments like that that I will always remember. (sighs) As crazy as he makes me, I love him to death and I wouldn’t give him up for the world.
