Gambled It Away

In short drama monologues, Gambled It Away, Ralph confesses to his wife that he spent the loan they took out against the house on gambling.

RALPH:  I know that was the loan for the house!  I’m well aware of it.  I wanted to do more!  Working all my life in that piece of shit van that I have outside.  I can’t take it anymore!  I’m never going to be rich and I took a chance.

…I screwed up big time…please, just leave me, I’m not a man, I’m not even a boy…I’m an ant that needs to get stepped on and scraped…

(to himself) What was I thinking?  (back to her) I don’t know what we are going to do now.  I wanted to take a shot…I took it…
