I Love You, Sister

In dramatic monologue I Love You, Sister, AMELIA talks with her Sister about her past illness and what they went through together.

AMELIA:  I love you Sister, more than you know. You drive me crazy at times and we’ve been through a lot together but let’s not forget, the bad and the good brought us here. Where we are now, it may not be perfect but right here in this moment, I can look at you and know that, you are a survivor. I know life didn’t turn out how you imagined it to be or how I imagined it to be but one thing we do still have, is each other.

You know, I’m, I’m proud of you, proud of the woman you have become. Maybe I don’t tell you enough but you are extraordinary, you are, you’re a truly beautiful woman.

None of us imagined that you were going to get sick and I would have done anything to prevent it, had I known…anything. It just all happened so fast and I wish you didn’t have to go through the pain that you went through. I wish you could have had a better time growing up, I’m sorry you had to go through those years but what are we going to do about it? We are going to fight this and live the life we deserve to live. It’s not going to be easy but I’ll always be here for you Karine, you’re my sister, no one can ever replace you.
