Roll Out The Red Carpet

In this monologue, JEFF confronts his father upon his return of a six year long absence. The reference to Paul is Jeffrey’s brother.

Jeff: What kind of man allows a woman to pull him away from his family?  You left us cold.  After six long years you’ve suddenly returned and expect us to roll out the red carpet for you?

That won’t happen.  You broke mama’s heart…she ain’t gonna take you back now or ever.  Me and Paul, we figured things out and have been taking care of things around here.  You ain’t wanted or needed.

Whatever it is you ventured into out west that failed, you should go back to cause you are no longer part of this family.  You abandoned us and now you will remain abandoned.
