Who You Think You Should Be

In Who You Think You Should Be, Miva talks to her best friend about how she needs to stop being insecure & learn to have confidence with her truest self.

MIVA:  You need to ignore everyone else and do you.  Focus on you and the path you are on.  Don’t listen to anybody, don’t even listen to me but at least I have your back and I’m gonna spit the truth at you whether you wish to hear it or not.

There’s too many people out there hating, Carlene and you need to beef up your skin and let people say what they want because at the end of the day who gives a damn, really, who cares what anyone else has to say about how you live your life?

You need to be the one who cares about how you live your life.  You need to be the one who can look at yourself in the mirror and like what you see.

You spend too much time wondering about what other people think and you stop yourself from being the person you have in you to be.

For what?  What good is ever going to come out of that?  You are robbing yourself of your own identity and you have to know it cause that can’t feel good, right?  Am I right?  That must feel lousy, going through life based on what other people think.

Be you.

People in your life are gonna hate anyway, so they might as well hate on you for who you are, rather than who you think you should be.
