In Would You Love Me If, Jesse teases his girlfriend in a playful manner about various situations to see if she would still love him.
JESSE: Okay, okay, okay. Let’s say I was caught in a fire and received third degree burns over ninety five percent of my body. Would you still love me? Really? You would stay with me? Really? No matter how crispy I was?
Wow. What you still love me if I was in a car accident and had to have my legs and arms taken off? Would you still love me? Really?
Would you still love me if I was beat up by a group of men and they completely destroyed my face and I looked extremely disfigured?
What if I was in a coma for two years? Would you stay by my side? Huh? You see? That one is a hard one cause you will get lonely. I don’t think I would blame you if you slept with someone else. I’d be upset about it but I wouldn’t blame you, unless we were married, then I’d kill you. Hahaha. I’m only kidding sweetheart.
But seriously though, you love me that much, that you would stick by my side no matter what? What if I went to prison for ten years? See? That’s a hard one, too.
Well, you don’t have to worry about me going to jail or anything. God willing.
It’s nice to know you love me so much. If any of those things happened to you, PEACE! I’d leave your ass real quick! (he laughs) I’m only kidding, I’m only kidding.
If anything ever happened to you, I would always remain loyal to you. No matter what, honey. I love you just as much.
(he kisses her)
