CAMERON:  โ€ฆYou still here?

KIMMIE:  Whatโ€™s wrong?

CAMERON:  Just took one to the jaw.

KIMMIE:  What happened?

CAMERON:  Not important.  Iโ€™ll live.

KIMMIE:  (Looking around the yard.)  Outside looks just as bad as inside.

CAMERON:  Yeah, everythinโ€™ trashed?

KIMMIE:  I tried to tidy up some.

CAMERON:  Thanks..why?

KIMMIE:  Because.

Kimmie gives Cameron a shoulder massage.

Cameron moves away from her.

CAMERON:  I have to get some things together.

KIMMIE:  You said I could stay a while.

CAMERON:  ..Did I?

KIMMIE:  Mm-hmm.

CAMERON:  ..I was drunk Kimmie.

KIMMIE:  But you said I could stay.

CAMERON:  ..You canโ€™t.

KIMMIE:  Why?

CAMERON:  Canโ€™t have you here.

KIMMIE:  But, why?

CAMERON:  Cause Iโ€™m engaged.

KIMMIE:  Engaged with what?

CAMERON:  To be married.

KIMMIE (Flirting.):  You werenโ€™t married last night.

CAMERON:  You really need to go.

KIMMIE:  I donโ€™t want to leave.

CAMERON:  Donโ€™t you have a home?

KIMMIE:  No.

CAMERON:  No?

KIMMIE:  No, I donโ€™t.

CAMERON:  Well, where in hell did you come from then?

KIMMIE:  I fell here, like an angel.

CAMERON:  Listen, Kim, Kimโ€ฆIโ€™m really sorry but you need to leave because I โ€” the partyโ€™s over.

KIMMIE:  But you told me you loved me.

CAMERON:  What??

KIMMIE:  Said you wanted to be with me.

CAMERON:  And you believed me?

KIMMIE:  I feel the same way as you do.

CAMERON:  Kim โ€“

KIMMIE:  Yes?

CAMERON (gently):  Where can you go cause you canโ€™t stay here.

KIMMIE:  I donโ€™t understand.

CAMERON:  Last night, I was out of my head, okay?  I mean I wasโ€ฆit was the fโ€™n circus for me last night โ€“

KIMMIE:  It was so much fun Cammie!

CAMERON:  Yes, but โ€“

KIMMIE:  Was beautiful!  Cotton candy!  Clowns, jugglers! (Laughs.) The fireworks! โ€“

CAMERON:  KIMMIE!  โ€ฆPlease, what Iโ€™m tryinโ€™ to say is โ€“ what I need to tell you is that I canโ€™t have you here no more. If I said the things you tolโ€™ me I said to you last night, well, I didnโ€™t mean โ€™em.  Maybe in the moment, I got carried away, was feelinโ€™ high as hell, told you I loved you and that stuff, but that, that was in the heat of the moment kind of thing like, it wasnโ€™t what I really feel about you, it was โ€“ we were caught up in that moment and the moment was real, Iโ€™m sure the moment was real, youโ€™re a nice girl and all but thatโ€™s all it was, thatโ€™s all it will ever beโ€ฆa moment between us Kim and thatโ€™s the end of it.  I donโ€™t wanna hurt you or offend you or โ€” Iโ€™m sorry if I โ€” I didnโ€™t mean to make what we were feelinโ€™ more than what it wasโ€ฆso, I take it back, I donโ€™t love you, I donโ€™t, and believe me when I tell you, you sure as hell donโ€™t love me, trust me, you think you do but you donโ€™tโ€ฆnow I got get some things on track โ€™round here, I gotta get back to Trishelle โ€“ you know this now, I gotta organize this mess, itโ€™s all a mess, weโ€™re gettinโ€™ married Kim, you understand?  Canโ€™t have you โ€™round here no more.

KIMMIE:  I never said I loved you, Cameron.

Scene Summary
