BEN: There are kids walking around! Stop cursing! (beat) Listen to me…we were lucky today, ya know why? Because today we were able to ride the Ferris wheel together, but you will never believe what happened, Billy.
Look! Look! Billy, see that guy over there? Look, look, look, quick…you see that guy with the train conductor hat on his head? (beat) That’s the maintenance man, and he’s gone to fix the Ferris wheel.
You and me were the last ones to ride the Ferris wheel today because there was a screw, this really large steel screw that came loose, and they had to stop the ride and call the maintenance man so he can fix it. This way the Ferris wheel can go round and round safely and not hurt the people.
So, I can’t take ya on the Ferris wheel because the maintenance man is fixing it at this very moment. Okay?
But I’ll tell you what I’ll do, buddy… Next week, we’ll come back and ride the wheel again together. Would you like that? Is that something fun we can look to do?
